Ryland and Tyler

I am keeping Ryland out of the nursery at church for a little while b/c of the flu going around. My pediatrician suggested it b/c it is going around the kids really bad. So I had Lisa watch Ryland yesterday while I went to MOPS. Ryland and Tyler played together and I got a cute pic of them. Because there is a 3 year age difference, they play on totally different levels so we have to find a happy medium for them. Here is a past and present pic of the boys. It's almost a year later...

It's a small world

I hear the saying all the time and say it myself, but yesterday it proved true. We have been advertising our gym and fridge on Craigslist and Iwanta. Yesterday a woman called me to ask about the fridge. I told her the info and she asked to come look at it that afternoon. When she got her, I immediately knew her. Her daughter is in Awana at church. I never see her in the morning just at night so I don't know her very well. Well, turns out she's moving and would like to pick it up the weekend! I am excited that we sold it! It was funny that of all people that have seen the advertisement, the person buying it would be someone I know and teach her daughter every week.

We may have a buyer for the gym also. Yea!!!!!!

Updates

It's been a while since I've posted. Let's see...James was out of town last week so it was just me and Ryland. He did really well and we had a good schedule. This was the first trip James has taken since Ryland was born. It was hard to see him leave b/c Ryland kept waving and blowing kisses and reaching out for James. He was so happy to see James when he returned.

I am back into scrapbooking mode. I am trying to work forward and backward from right now. I am so behind, but I've got the motivation to get back on track. We also turned the guest room into my craft room so I have the space to leave everything out....organized chaos works best for me.

It looks like we may be selling our home gym. A guy is supposed to come get it Saturday. I really hope we'll sell it. I listed it on Craigslist with the encouragement of my friend, Lisa. It will be nice to get our garage back.

That's all for now...unless I think of something else.

I have to post this pic

I love this look on Ryland's face, I just had to post it. It makes me laugh each time I see it!

In the dog house

Last night before we left for church, I told the dogs to get in their bed. Ryland decides he is going to join them....silly boy!

Hyders are well...for the moment.

Everyone is doing well....so far. I did break out in hives a couple of days after the stomach flu. I've never had hives before and let me tell you....it's no fun. I've heard that once you turn 30, things start changing and I can attest to that. Since I've turned 30, I've had a double ear infection, followed by a single ear infection(don't remember ever having an ear infection before), stomach flu(I've not had the flu in about 7 years), hives and that doesn't include the aches and pains of every day life. I'm sounding old......

Ryland is doing great! Last week, while James was home, I think he got a little spoiled b/c James held him during his naps. He is finally settling into his routine again and sleeping through the night. Thank you Ryland!

Our Valentine's Day

I've been reading about everyone's Valentines Day so I thought I'd tell everyone about ours. We are still waiting to have it. We did order pizza last night and after we ate, James and I both started feeling yuck. I shouldn't have eaten it after being sick all week and James said he ate too much. After we put Ryland down and went to bed, Ryland decided to get up every hour. Yes, I said every hour. He didn't wake up fully, just stood up in his bed and cried. So I got up and laid him back down and went back to sleep for maybe an hour. James could not go to sleep b/c of his stomach and I felt yucky all night. James called in today b/c he wasn't feeling good. I don't know if it's what I had or not, he's still sleeping.

James mom is supposed to watch Ryland while we go out tonight for Valentine's day. I may ask her to wait until next week.

Ryland did have his first bites of pizza last night and of course, he loved it. The child loves to eat. That's the comment I hear every Sunday from nursery.

Just a swingin......

James put up Ryland's swing this week. We put him in it Monday and he loves it, of course. It was too cold yesterday and today seems chilly as well. I may bundle him up and let him get some fresh air. It will do us both good.

He did pitch a fit when it was time to get out though....oh well.....

Update on Ryland

James took Ryland to the doctor today and thankfully, his ears are perfect. But, he's still acting sick and not sleeping. It took him 2 hours to get to sleep tonight. The doctor said it could be a sinus infection so she put him on some antibiotics.

I am feeling a better, but I have no energy and I'm tired. Plus I'm bummed b/c I'm missing our MOPS meeting tomorrow and we are tasting chocolates!

Ok, I think Ryland's down for the night so I'm going to bed now too.

Healing for the Hyders

Yuck! I've been sick with the stomach flu for the past 3 days. James stayed home and took care of Ryland on Monday and Tuesday. I'm ready to feel better, this is the pitts.

I believe Ryland's ears are messed up again. James is going to take him to the doctor today. It seems as soon as he comes off the antibiotics, 3 days later he's acting sick again. James was up with Ryland all night on Monday and I was up all night with him last night.

James stayed home today because of a horrible headache.

We need some healing from our Healer..... Please pray for us.

I've been tagged....thanks Abbie! :o)

Ok, here goes....

5 things you may not know about me:
1. I have a mild case of OCD - I check and recheck to make sure my garage door is closed and many times I have to turn around before I get out of my neighborhood just to make sure it's closed. I also have a thing with numbers; I have to count everything.

2. I don't eat meat on the bone - ribs, fried chicken, chicken wings. It grosses me out.

3. I talk to myself and have since I was little.

4. I love photography.

5. I have been parasailing and absolutely loved it!

5 places I'd like to visit in U. S.
1. Grand Canyon
2. Disney World or a Disney cruise
3. Alaskan Cruise
4. Cruise to Hawaii
5. I know there's more, I just can't think of any right now.

5 places I'd like to visit outside the U. S.
1. This one's easy...I really have no desire to go anywhere outside the US. I never have and I'm glad that James grew up in Germany and had the chance to visit so many places while he was there.

There ya go.....

Point to ponder...

Why do the banks have popcorn machines?

I was in my bank the other day and the first thing I saw when I entered was a little popcorn stand. It just struck me funny. I have to admit, I was very tempted to get some as I was leaving.

Oh well, just wondering....

This kid can squeal!

I thought we were out of the squealing stage. Since birth, Ryland has always had a high pitched squeal. When he was little, it sounded like we had a bird. Now, when he gets impatient at meal times or wants to get up on the couch, he squeals/screams. I don't know how you get a child to stop that, but if anyone has suggestions, let me know. It's like it comes and goes. I'm ready for it to go!
