Partys and Fellowships

Today was a good day. We went to Kendall's birthday party. It was at a riding stable at Fort Gordon. The girls had a great time and Ryland had fun watching. He and Aunt Lisa did go and pet the pony so he did get to touch it. Afterwards, we came home for a much needed nap.
Tonight we met at a friends house for fellowshipping. We enjoyed spending time with other couples and Ryland had fun walking around someone else's house and playing with their toys.

Thanks for taking Ryland to pet the pony, Aunt Lisa!

Here come the cowgirls

What a cute pic of the girls

Our Family Easter Picture

Easter Fun!

We had a great day today! We had a very insightful lesson in Sunday School and great music and message during church service. We came home and I cooked lunch. James went and picked up his mom and the three of us had lunch while Ryland took a nap. Once Ryland was up and had eaten, we had our easter egg hunt in the front yard. He did great! He picked up all the eggs and put them in the basket. He loved being outside...thank you Lord for such a gorgeous day! Tonight, James and I went through the Resurrection Eggs and Ryland tried to eat the objects inside the eggs.

Happy Easter!

I just want to thank Jesus for dying for my sins. I am so thankful that I have been purchased by his blood and I am a child of God. God is good...even when we don't understand why things happen, God is still good. Always remember that.

Thank you Jesus for the gift of eternal life!

We made it home!

We are home! It was a long trip, but Ryland did great in the car. It does seem now that he is quite the king of attitude. He has thrown several temper tantrums this week. It seems to be when he gets tired, he gets irritated very easily. I am really in for it, I can feel it!

Thank you for all the prayers this past week. God definitely answered by giving us good traveling weather and Ryland doing well in the car.

14.5 hours later.....

James's grandmother passed away this weekend and we traveled to ....Joplin, Missouri. We drove 7 hours and stopped in Tennessee at Craig's parents house for the night. Thanks again, R and R! We drove the rest of the 7.5 hours and got here safe and sound. I specifically asked for prayer that Ryland would do well on the drive. So far, God has answered those prayers. He has done fairly well. I was really worried about this trip b/c he does not like to travel. He is so glad to get out of the car and starts acting so silly when he gets to walk around and stretch.

God is showing Himself to be our Provider. We had a really scary weekend when we tried to drive home from camping at the lake and ended up driving into the storm. I was very, very scared and praying that God would keep us safe. We ended up getting home and my night went downhill from there.

But, today is a new day and I'm feeling better. We are here, safe and I believe Ryland is asleep....ok, not asleep yet, but he's quiet.

15 months!

Ryland is going to be 15 months on Saturday. I am going to take his pictures this weekend in his Easter outfit. He is getting so big (in his mind, not so much his body). He is so smart. He is starting to repeat more words. Today, he said truck and juice. He can tell me what he wants by some sign language and whining while standing at the gate to the kitchen and stairs. He is such a little ham and he knows what he wants. He is showing some stubborness, but I know it's just the age. He loves to look at books and push cars around. He loves to swing in the backyard. My friend and I took our kids to the park this week and they had a very good time. He is getting to be so independent, but I still want to do stuff for him. I know I have give in some and let him do some things himself. I took him for another hair cut yesterday. He still has such a beautiful hair color and I get stopped all the time in stores with people complimenting his hair and eyes. I look at him in amazement of how God took a little of me and a LOT of James and made this beautiful little person.

I guess that's all I have for tonight. Have a good week!

Our Date Night

James and I went out on Saturday night. We had a MOPS date night called MOPS and POPS Night Out. We went to Putt-Putt. We ate pizza, dippin dots and played video games and laser tag. I think the laser tag was the biggest hit. It was so much fun, running around trying to get the other team. It was guys vs girls. It sounds bad, but I don't remember who won. Because it was so cold outside, they gave us a raincheck for the Putt Putt.

My mom kept Ryland for us and they had a lot of fun. She told us that when she gave him his milk before bed, he said "Amen". We've been working teaching him to fold his hands when we say the blessing and he usually says amen at the end after we say it. So he said it on his own! I was so excited.

His temper is really starting to come out. When he doesn't want to do something, he stiffens his body and screams. Fun, Fun.... Is that what I have to look forwad to when he's 2? Isn't this a little early?

Wind....

I do not like the wind...at all. I don't like to hear the wind blow in the trees. I used to be absolutely terrified of the wind, to the point of almost panic. I have a lot of trees around my house and it was a very windy night and it's proving to be a very windy day.

uuuggghhhh....I don't like the wind......

Cup

Every night before we put Ryland to bed, he has a cup of milk. Well, tonight, when I walked in his room with the cup, I asked him if he was ready for his cup. He pointed to it and said "up-a". That's the first time he's ever called it anything so "up-a" it is!

Here's a pic I took of him today.

Yum, Yum!

Ryland had spaghetti tonight and he loved it. I don't like for him to get all messy when he eats, but I gave in and boy did he enjoy the food. I don't know what possessed him to start putting it in his hair though. I had to get the camera out and take some pics. These are priceless!

Yea! It's gone!

We sold the fridge yesterday. She came by and picked it up so it's now official. Here are some pics of Ryland helping his daddy move the fridge in the garage. He thinks he is so big now.
