Oh boy! Here comes Ryland!

It's official! Ryland is crawling and now, apparently climbing. He climbed under the side table tonight and was after the lamp cord. He's fast too! He likes to chase after the dogs, ready to pull their hair. I can't leave him alone and go into the other room now. I know I've said it before, but it amazes me how much he learns to do every day!

He's scooting!

Ryland is scooting all over the place. He's almost crawling, he just needs to learn how to move his hands to go forward.

Am I ready for this? It's so nice to leave him on the floor and know he won't be going anywhere. It won't be long now, he'll be all over the place.

Meet "Roger"

"Roger" is Ryland's new best friend.
While Ryland was at his Nonna's house, he 'found' this stuffed rhino. My mom said he immediately was attached and boy was she right! Ryland loves this stuffed animal we named Roger. Ryland hugs and kisses on this 'kinda ugly' rhino. He makes me and James laugh. He actually scooted across the floor to get to it. We got that on video!

Here are some pics of the two 'best buddies'.

Da da da da da

Ryland has learned to say "da da". He says it all the time! Of course, he has no idea he is talking about James, but he loves to say it. He also says "hey" and "hey there", but it sounds like "hey dare". This is such a fun time. His little personality is really starting to show. He is such a people person.
Ryland also has moved up to a bigger rear facing car seat AND he sat in a high chair for the first time at a resturaunt on Sunday. He did really good.
Wow! He amazes me everyday with all the new things he is learning.

Happy Belated 4th of July

Thank you to all the men and women who are serving in our armed forces and fighting for our freedom!!!!!

Happy Birthday to me...

Yep, even though I still look young, I am 30 years old!! I enjoyed myself yesterday. It was a pretty low key day. James had to work so Ryland and I had a 'pool party'. I thought we could get in and 'swim' for a little bit so after getting dressed, getting him dressed, blowing up his raft b/c I couldn't get James air compressor to work, getting towels, getting sunscreen on him, making sure I had his hat and my sunglasses, we proceeded to go outside and swim for about 15 minutes. hehehe It was fun, he enjoyed it so it was worth it.

James did come home with an "Edible Artistry" cake and a Willow Tree Angel. For those of you who know, that is my favorite cake!! We went to Target and Red Robin last night. All in all, it was a good birthday. Except for one thing....at Red Robin's, they have a Red Robin mascot that walks around the resturaunt. For those of you who know me well, you KNOW how much I enjoyed that!!!!!
